about

Featuring Jill Haley on English horn.

About the song:

Sarah’s grandmother Polly used to run a family farm in Barrington, NH. In the aftermath of hurricane Hugo in 1989 a goose decided it was too much trouble to fly south for the winter and took up residence at the farm. Polly named her Hugo-- until Hugo started laying eggs. Henceforth named Harriet, the goose felt quite at home and stayed at the farm for more than a decade.

I love the story and was thrilled to collaborate with Jill on my music for the first time on this piece. jillhaley.com
